Jessica Marcell

Hi! My name is Jessica Marcell and I will be teaching 2nd grade this year! I recently graduated from UNCW in May of 2022 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a concentration on Science and Health.This is my very first year of teaching and I am so excited to be at Southport Elementary to begin my career! I have been in a few different schools in New Hanover County as I taught and observed during my field experience and internship throughout my time at UNCW.I have also worked in the YMCA of Southeastern NC for roughly 3 years and I have gained so much experience through working with children ages 5-11 while leading collaborative, engaging, and instructional activities!
