Welcome to First Grade!  I'm so excited to be your teacher this year.  

This is my 19th year teaching first grade at Southport Elementary! I LOVE teaching first grade. After high school, I ventured to East Carolina University, where I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Child Development. My husband, Brian and I have two daughters. Meryn is in eighth grade and Ellis is in sixth grade.  I have a dog named Barkly and a puppy named Junie B.  

This is going to be an amazing year. It is so important that we stay connected and communicate with each other. We are a classroom family and I look forward to a wonderful year together!
