Jean Fogarty

I have been teaching for over 10 years.  I have taught a variety of courses over this time span to include: Microsoft Word, Word Expert, PowerPoint, Excel, Excel Expert, and Access Database.  In addition to Microsoft courses, I have taught Multimedia & Webpage Design, and E-Commerce.  For the last nine years, I have been the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Adviser.

Fall 2019 - Courses:

Microsoft Word & PowerPoint Version 2016

In the Microsoft Word & PowerPoint class, students will have the opportunity to take the Microsoft Certifications for: Word, PowerPoint, and Word Expert.  Theses exams are considered "industry standards". Industry standards are, in essence, criteria within a particular field of business, and are generally the minimal accepted requirements followed by the members of that industry.  In my linked documents, you will find the "Blue Print" for the course, and the "Pacing Guide".  The Blue Print will tell you what we are learning in each lesson, and the Pacing Guide is a point of reference of where we should be in order to complete the course in a timely manner.

 Future Business Leaders of America Club (FBLA)

What is FBLA? FBLA is the national student organization for all high school students participating in Career Technology Education programs. Its members are students in chapters in all fifty states.

The purpose of the organization?  The purpose is to provide opportunities for secondary school students to develop vocational and career supportive competencies for business and office occupations and to promote civic and personal responsibility.

What are the benefits of FBLA?  The benefits are: Meet New friends; Go Places; Learning new leadership skills; Building confidence; Learn business skills for the future; Entrepreneurship; and Scholarships.
