Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Peck

Hi! My name is Kathy Peck, and I'm looking forward to my sixth year teaching Art at Belville--and my fourth year helping to coach Battle of the Books. I earned a BA in Studio Art and a BA in English at Campbell University, and I previously taught Visual Arts and English at West Brunswick High School for eight years. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent Art. Outside of school, I enjoy painting, photography, and working with rescue animals. I am also part of a gallery in downtown Wilmington called Gallery Citrine, where I have a studio space that the public can come visit on the weekends. I live in Leland and love our beautiful area. I am very excited to share my love of art at our great school!

Art for Kids Hub is a great free online drawing resource that most students have used at least once with me in class. Videos can be watched for free via Youtube, YoutubeKids, and on their website without needing to create an account. You can choose from an extensive collection of "How-To" draw videos by clicking on either the tab "Drawing" or clicking on "By Age" to select the appropriate drawing levels.
