Technology

Our classrooms will use lots of technology this year!  We are so fortunate to have one device per student in third grade.  Students will use all of the technology available to us throughout the year to expand their knowledge of technology and how if can be used constructively in our daily lives. 

Students will create Google Slide presentations, learn basic coding skills, complete online research, and more throughout this year!

Students SHOULD NOT bring any electronics to school. Students are not allowed to have electronics on the bus or on field trips. It is highly encouraged that each student bring their own ear buds/headphones to use with technology. 

Some of the technology resources your child will use throughout 3rd Grade are;

• iReady
• Prodigy
• MobyMax
• Reflex Math

...as well as many other programs accessible to students via the Clever portal.  Students are encouraged to use their login information at home with any of these free programs for extra practice in reading and math throughout the school year!

Students will also use the iReady software for online reading activites, which correlate with our in-class core level reading small groups. This allows students to practice and implement reading strategies in order to prepare for passing End of Grade testing.
