LTC (R) Glenn R. Baker

LTC (R) Glenn Baker is a native of Nebraska. Upon graduating from high school in Bellevue NE in 1983, he joined the ROTC program at the University of Nebraska and Omaha, where he was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps.  He retired from the U.S. Army in 2017. Over his 22-year Army career, he served as the company commander 915^th Transportation Company (US Army Reserve), Council Bluffs, IA; detachment commander 189^th Trailer Transfer Detachment (US Army Reserve), Council Bluffs, IA, S-3, 457^th Transportation Battalion (Motor) (US Army Reserve), Fort Snelling, MN, S-3, 757^th Railway Battalion (US Army Reserve), Milwaukee, WI, S-3, 1^st Brigade 87^th Training Division (US Army Reserve), Birmingham, AL, S-3, 4^th Brigade 75^th Training Division (US Army Reserve), Birmingham, AL, S-3 208^th Regional Support Group (US Army Reserve), Fort Jackson, SC, Exercise Analyst, Logistics Exercise Simulations Directorate, Fort Lee, VA, Support Operations Officer, 518^th Sustainment Brigade (US Army Reserve), Knightdale, NC.

            LTC Baker is a veteran of Afghanistan. His awards include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (4th award), Army Commendation Medal (7^th award), and Army Achievement Medal (2^nd award).

            LTC Baker earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in ancient history from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Master’s Degree in Transportation Management from American Military University.  He has been married to the former Gail Hyden of Monroe, MI for over 21 years and has 4 children.
