Mrs. Jeannine McCafferty

I am thrilled to be your Reading and Social Studies teacher on a blended team with Mrs. Creech. This is my 12th year of teaching and my 3rd year at Jessie Mae Monroe Elementary School. I am so excited to be on this adventure with you! 

I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Corporate Communications at Rowan University in southern New Jersey. After a decade-long career in communications, I changed gears and went on to get my Masters in Teaching degree from The College of New Jersey. I taught in NJ for eight years before moving here to NC in 2018. I have experience teaching kindergarten, 1st grade, 5th grade, and of course, 3rd grade!

 I live in Ocean Isle Beach with my husband, Shaun, and my son, Shane. Shane is a third grader here at JMMES. We also have a Black and Tan Coonhound named Regina.
