Mrs. Barron

Hello 2nd Grade Shark families! I am very excited about being your child’s 2nd grade teacher this year! This is my 14^th year teaching. I have spent 10 years teaching Kindergarten and 4 years teaching second grade...2nd is my favorite! I also teach second grade reading and writing intervention for a summer literacy program in Sunset Beach during the summer. I am married to my wonderful husband, Sam, and we have a sweet baby girl, Kamlynne, who just turned 2 in June. She keeps us on our toes! We also have a mini-dottie, named Ellie Mae, who has been adjusting to being a big sister and loves it the most when sissy eats and leaves her treats! I love to shop, decorate, and travel to new places with my husband. This year we will be busy learning many new things in fun, engaging ways. We will learn new skills and concepts through hands-on activities, group collaboration and small group instruction. I give my best in class each day, and I expect the same from my students!
